In response to the partial government shutdown, Tinker Federal Credit Union is prepared to assist our affected members.
Our hardship relief program offers multiple assistance options, including no fee Skip-A-Payments, interest-only payments, fee refunds and interest-free loans for those affected by pay delays and furlough.
Additionally, TFCU can help members whose payroll has been affected with no-interest (0.00% APR) 30-day single payment loan (e.g. 1 payment of $600.23 per $600.23 borrowed), which will allow those federal employees to borrow up too the amount of their last payroll deposit (maximum of $6,000).
If you become affected, please reach out to our contact center at (405)732-0324, option 6, or 1-800-456-4828 option 6.
*Membership with Tinker Federal Credit Union (TFCU) is required. A $5 minimum share deposit is needed to open an account. All loans are subject to credit approval. Hardship loans are not available to members with active bankruptcy; however, members with active bankruptcies may qualify for alternative hardship options. Verification of furlough status and prior income required. Maximum loan amount based on prior net pay for up to three full pay periods. Sample repayment: One payment of $600.23 borrowed at 0.00% APR, due on the earlier of (a) 30 days from loan origination or (b) within five business days after the federal government disburses back pay. If direct deposit is set up with TFCU, borrower will be required to authorize an automatic transfer permitting TFCU to deduct loan payoff directly from account where funds are received. If direct deposit is not set up with TFCU, borrower must repay full loan amount within five business days of receiving back pay. If borrower has an active hardship loan with an unpaid balance, eligibility for a new 0.00% APR hardship loan will require either conversion of the existing loan to a standard amortized loan with the applicable interest rate, or the new hardship loan may be funded at the applicable rate. Rates and terms subject to change. Visit www.TinkerFCU.org, call us at 405-732-0324 or 1-800- 456-4828, or visit any TFCU branch for details. Federally insured by NCUA.
