Rebekah Sewell from Oklahoma City University is one of five $5,000 TFCU Back to Campus scholarship winners in 2022. The junior from Bridge Creek, OK, is a psychology major with a child advocacy minor. Currently, she’s interning at the Care Center and helping conduct forensic interviews on children who have been abused. “The goal of the interviews is to help plan the best mental health care for the kids,” says Rebekah.
In addition, Rebekah is a student athlete who flies through the air on OCU’s stunt team. “It’s like cheer but in a game format with stunts, cheers, pyramids and tumbling,” said Rebekah. “Everyone has different roles, and I’m a flyer and a tumbler.”
When asked what the TFCU scholarship means to her she said, “It helps me progress in my further education. I won’t stress as much to find the resources for going to school.”
