Open a share (savings) account at Tinker Federal Credit Union with only a $5 required deposit and balance and you become a member and part-owner of one of the nation’s leading credit unions with locations throughout Oklahoma and in Texas.

History

On March 20, 1946, a small group of Tinker Field civilian employees were looking for a different way to save and borrow money. Together they pooled their resources and founded the institution now known as Tinker Federal Credit Union. Today, TFCU has expanded to multiple locations across Oklahoma—including the Oklahoma City metro area, Ada, Enid, Shawnee, Seminole, Stillwater, and Tulsa—as well as Texas, with branches in Cross Roads and Denton (opening late summer 2025). Tinker Federal Credit Union is now one of the nation’s leading credit unions, serving Tinker Air Force Base, Vance Air Force Base and the employees of over 3,600 area companies.
