When TFCU member—Sebastian—saw the chance to enter to win a storm shelter, he thought, “I might as well try! I need a storm shelter.” Little did Sebastian know, out of 2,403 entrants, he would be declared the winner just days after entering.
Sebastian moved into his Edmond home seven years ago. “This is the first home that I’ve bought that hasn’t had a storm shelter,” he said. “It’s a pretty good blessing that I won it. I was extremely happy. I’ve never won anything in my life.”
The concrete storm shelter, valued at up to $5,500, will be installed on his property and is designed for up to 12 people. With three kids and seven grandkids living in the Edmond area, there will be lots of room for family, if ever needed.
