Summer Budget Savings Tips

With summer being so short, you want to soak up as much fun as possible. However, your wallet could take a big hit because of it. Here are some summer budget tips to keep in mind while you’re soaking up the rays.

It’s summer and that means you now have more free time for activities! However, more activities can lead to over spending. With summer being so short, you want to soak up as much fun as possible by going to amusement parks, concerts and other great excursions. However, your wallet could take a big hit because of it. Even with a sweet summer gig, like lifeguarding at the local pool, you might not be able to afford all the activities you want to do. However, here are some summer budget tips to keep in mind while you’re soaking up the rays.

Go to Matinee Movies
Not only will you sound fancy when you tell people you went to the matinee, but you’ll be saving money.

Pack Your Own Snacks
If you’re planning on taking a road trip, you’d be hella smart to pack your own snacks. Instead of stopping miles into the trip at a convenient store to stock up on chips and candy, hit up the supermarket ahead of time and divvy up your purchases into smaller snack bags.

Invite Friends Over Instead of Going Out
Who doesn’t like a good house party?! Skip the restaurants or overpriced night clubs and have yourself a good old fashioned barbeque. Enjoy the summer weather and grill out with your friends. That’s what summer was made for.

Exercise Outside
With the sun shining and the weather being so nice this time of year, you might be able to put that gym membership on hold. Between jogging, cycling, or even just walking, there’s plenty of stuff you can do without shelling out $30 or more each month at a gym.
