The financial wellness team strengthened the Oklahoma 4‑H programming in 2025 by delivering hands‑on, age‑appropriate financial education that reached youth and the adults who guide them. Through its partnership with Oklahoma 4‑H, the team led 19 interactive workshops that introduced core money concepts, encouraged healthy financial habits and helped young people practice real‑world decisions through games, activities and relatable scenarios. The initiative also provided specialized training for extension educators, parents, volunteers and club leaders, giving them practical tools to integrate financial lessons into ongoing youth development programs.
This sustained engagement not only expanded financial education access statewide but also led Oklahoma 4‑H to become an official business partner of TFCU, extending the credit union’s reach to more than 12,000 youth, families and volunteers. The partnership strengthened community trust, elevated TFCU’s visibility and positioned the credit union as a long‑term leader in financial education for future generations.
Since 2008, TFCU’s financial wellness team has been actively presenting free, in-person and virtual financial education workshops throughout the state of Oklahoma at schools, businesses and other civic and tribal organizations. These workshops help adults and youth learn the importance of good money management skills, with topics ranging from how to set a budget to using financial resources for various life stages and events. The financial wellness team and the Teachers + TFCU sweepstakes are some of the ways TFCU lives up to the credit union motto of people helping people by meeting community needs across the state of Oklahoma.
