Even a cloudy, wet day couldn’t stop the TFCU team from presenting The TFCU Great Auto Loan Payoff to the latest winner, Matt Fream of Edmond, Oklahoma. Matt didn’t mind a few rain drops; he was excited to celebrate his unexpected winnings after getting the call that the credit union was going to pay off his $8,544 auto loan.
“The cool part was that I didn’t even have to enter,” Matt said. “I just had to have an auto loan with TFCU to be eligible – so it was a surprise and a blessing.”
Matt first got his car loan with TFCU just a few years ago. “I needed a new car. Before I was getting beaters and fixing them up, I couldn’t take a trip across the state without wondering, ‘Is it going to break down?’ I really needed something more reliable that I could trust.”
Driving is a big part of Matt’s work and life. Along with his dad and brother, Matt helps run their family-owned produce company, Ideal Fresh Produce, that delivers to restaurants and towns across Oklahoma. “I’m on the road about 1,300 miles a week, so it’s a lot of driving!”
His dad and brother were the first ones he called after learning TFCU was going to pay off his auto loan. “It was really exciting to call my family; it made it even more fun. I feel really lucky.”
