International Credit Union Day

For over 70 years, TFCU has been committed to helping our members achieve their goals and realize their dreams.

On March 20, 1946, a small group of Tinker Field civilian employees were looking for a different way to save and borrow money. Together they pooled their resources and founded the institution now known as Tinker Federal Credit Union. The single branch at Tinker Field has grown into 31 branch locations with over 392,000 members and $4 billion in assets.

The World Council of Credit Union Inc. (WOCCU) was born in 1971 to help establish viable credit union movements. WOCCU advocates on behalf of the credit union community internationally. The movement has grown so much that now more than 235 million people are credit union members in 109 countries and six continents.

Join us for International Credit Union Day to help us celebrate the credit union movement! Visit any of our full-service branches on October 17 during normal business hours for free treats and giveaways while supplies last.

Thank you for being part of the credit union movement.
