Bank Admits It: CUs Have Better Checking Accounts
Here’s an interesting tidbit that caught our eye, an out-of-state bank’s promotion offered $100 to anyone who could find a better checking account in that market — with one disclaimer — the fine print excluded credit union checking accounts from the deal. Obviously, that financial institution knows credit union checking accounts are a better deal for consumers.
“We’re so confident that our Free & Easy Checking is the best in the area that, after you switch, we’ll pay you $100 if you find an account that matches all of its features,” the promo bragged.
But, the bank’s fine print contradicted its message. “$100 will be paid to any individual who finds a better free checking account in our market area (Internet banks and credit unions excluded) that beats our Free & Easy Checking account on each feature on our comparison sheet.”
At TFCU, we don’t hide behind fine print details. Compare our checking package to any other in the area. Item for item, the options we offer our members add up to an unbeatable checking account.
